Exhibition Visit, Steel Rooms Gallery Open Exhibition, Brigg, Lincolnshire.

The Steel Rooms is part of a venture by a local family.  The very interesting gallery space is on the top floor of an old canal-side warehouse in the Lincolnshire market town of Brigg.  The ground floor is an art/gift shop and extremely pleasant coffee shop/restaurant.

As well as regular featured exhibitions, the gallery holds an open exhibition each year.  This year's features an eclectic mix of quality work comprising a range of media, genres and styles, some of which, not unnaturally appealed and some which did not.

On the photography front I particularly enjoyed an architectural series by Grimsby Photographer Paul King.  It featured three interesting and colourful images of modern glass buildings.

Dale Mackie's charcoal drawings of Grimsby dockland scenes inspired as did Terry Clarke's of the Humber Forts, also in charcoal.
